GP+A Architecture is proud to it's award of a Phase II Little Rock AMFS USAF and Army iDBIO MATOC Award.
Together with teaming partners SDS Engineering, Huelet Davis Healing Design, Rhino Engineering, Woods Peacock Consulting Engineers, Cazador, The Sextant Group and AKIMA we are very pleased to participate in ongoing Design Build and technology fit outs and transitioning to the VA Hospital system.
As Architect of Record GP+A will collaborate with our healthcare designers,medical planners, and engineering team members, providing design management as well as ATFP expertise to the projects.
This program is part of a $900 Million dollar commitment through the Department of Defense to provide World Class Healthcare for it's active duty, formerly active duty, and retired service members and families.
We look forward participating in these exciting projects that will benefit our military service members and their families.
Through the use of cutting edge technologies, current best practices and established criteria, biophilic design and architecture contributes to enhanced palliative care and outcomes. The design of healing environments is at once technologically complex, and an integration of myriad specialties, finishes, protocols, circulation, spaces and people to establish a collaboration of moving parts that form a synergy to diagnose, treat, and heal people.
Healing people in a patient centered model within an natural, relaxing, calming environment is the goal of creating healing environments. Biophilic design promote such calming, connected and relaxing places in which people may begin to experience a connection between emotion and place, to relax and allow their body to access the rejuvenating natural abilities it innately has.
Together with palliative care, and cutting edge medical technology and advanced treatments this architectural approach has been shown to enhance medical outcomes.
